Ford 4K Dash Cam

Ford F-Series Dedicated Series: A Closer Look at the New Dash Cam

Nothing ruins a clean Ford F-Series cab faster than a suction-cup camera and a power cord dangling across your dashboard. MANGOAL offers a cleaner alternative with a factory-style housing designed to fit discreetly behind your rearview mirror. The new Dedicated Series features model-specific fitments for select Ford F-150 and F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks. It hits the sweet spot between the Standard Series and the STARVIS 2 flagship, with a particular focus on front-camera imaging in challenging lighting conditions.

Why Consider the Dedicated Series?

If your driving mostly consists of daily commutes around town, MANGOAL's Standard Series is still a practical choice. It offers 4K front and 1080P rear recording in dual-camera configurations, making it a solid option for everyday driving at an accessible price.

But if you spend a lot of time on the road after dark—whether you're heading home late, covering long stretches of highway, or towing a travel trailer on a road trip—lighting conditions become a bigger consideration. When a heavy truck approaches with bright LED headlights blazing, glare can make license plates and other fine details harder to capture clearly.

That's where the Dedicated Series introduces two key imaging features.

Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 Sensor

The front camera uses Sony's STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensor and records 4K UHD footage (3840 × 2160) at 30fps.

HDR 2.0 for Challenging Lighting

HDR 2.0 is designed to help balance bright highlights and darker areas. In challenging conditions, such as entering or exiting a tunnel or facing oncoming headlights at night, it can help preserve details in the recorded footage. Actual results will depend on lighting and recording conditions.

Three Series: Which One Is Right for You?

Standard Series: A practical everyday option offering 4K front recording and 1080P rear recording in selected dual-camera configurations.

Dedicated Series: Features a STARVIS 2 IMX675 front sensor and HDR 2.0 while retaining the 4K front and optional 1080P rear format. It's worth considering if you want upgraded front-camera imaging without necessarily opting for every flagship feature.

STARVIS 2 Flagship Series: For drivers who want higher-resolution footage from both cameras, the dual-camera configuration pairs a Sony IMX678 front sensor (4K) with an IMX675 rear sensor (2K).

Here's the nice part: select Dedicated Series fitments start at $169.99, while Models B, C, and D currently start at $189.99.
That gives drivers interested in the IMX675 front sensor and HDR 2.0 a lower starting point than the flagship lineup.

⚠️Before You Order: Check Your Fitment

Ford has used different mirror designs across F-Series model years, which is why MANGOAL offers Models A, B, C, and D.

Vehicle fitment: Some model-year ranges overlap, so don't order by year alone. Check your truck's mirror configuration and the product's fitment notes, or send a photo to MANGOAL support for confirmation.
Power connection: Installation requirements vary by vehicle. A compatible auto-dimming rearview-mirror power connection is needed for mirror-adapter installation. Otherwise, power may need to come from the OBD port or fuse box. Confirm your truck's requirements before ordering.

Your F-Series is built for hard work. Give it a smarter set of eyes on the road. Choose the right model, confirm the power connection, and enjoy the drive.

Not sure whether Model A, B, C, or D fits your truck? Check the product details or contact MANGOAL support before ordering.
