MANGOAL Dash Cam App Connection Guide & Wi-Fi Setup

Mangoal Manager

Your MANGOAL dash cam starts recording automatically when your car turns on. It saves videos directly to your memory card. You do not need an active phone connection for daily recording. If you have trouble connecting to the app or viewing live footage, follow this quick guide to restore a stable connection and access your videos. Important Safety & App Notice Park Safely: Park your vehicle before checking settings. App Name: The official app is Skycamm (or Viidure). Download it from the App Store or Google Play. 1. Quick Fix: Airplane Mode Routine Wireless signal issues are a common cause of pairing failures. Try this quick sequence to build a stable link: Turn on Airplane Mode on your phone. Turn off Bluetooth, Mobile Data, and VPN apps. Disconnect from wireless CarPlay or Android Auto if active. Turn Wi-Fi back on (keep Airplane Mode on). Select your camera network (e.g., WiFi_DVR_XXXX or WiFi_E970XXXX). Enter default password: 12345678. Open the Skycamm (or Viidure) app to view videos. Note: The camera Wi-Fi does not offer internet access. A "Connected without Internet" alert is normal. Keep Wi-Fi connected and launch the app. Tip: Turn off Airplane Mode when you finish to restore phone service. 2. CarPlay & Android Auto Signal Issues Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto use Wi-Fi. This may interrupt your dash cam connection. Steps to Fix: Disconnect wireless CarPlay or Android Auto and turn off Bluetooth. Connect to the camera Wi-Fi network. Open the app to view or save footage. When finished: Tap "Forget This Network" for the camera Wi-Fi. This lets your phone reconnect to CarPlay on your next drive. 💡 Pro Tip: Using a USB cable for CarPlay helps reduce wireless signal issues. 3. Check App Permissions If your phone connects to Wi-Fi but the app fails to load, check your system permissions. For iPhone Users: Allow the app to find local devices: Go to: Settings → Apps → Skycamm (or Viidure) → Turn on Local Network. Reset Permissions: If you blocked permissions earlier, delete and reinstall the app. Tap "Allow" on all prompts during setup. 4. Fix App Freezes and Crashes If the app closes or freezes while loading: Force-close the app and reopen it. Restart your phone. Update the app in the App Store or Google Play. If issues continue, delete and reinstall the app. Allow all permissions. Tip: If the app crashes but the camera records fine, focus on phone settings. If the camera itself keeps restarting, check the memory card below. 5. Check the Memory Card A damaged memory card may cause camera instability and drop Wi-Fi links. Memory Card Test: Power off the dash cam. Remove the microSD card. Power on the camera without the card. Connect to Wi-Fi and open the app. Results: App connects normally: The memory card file system may be damaged. Back up files and format the card on a computer (FAT32 or exFAT) or in app settings. Card Tip: Use a high-quality Class 10 / U3 microSD card for stable use. Check our  [ 👉 MANGOAL SD Cards]  for tested cards. 6. Factory Reset If camera Wi-Fi stays unresponsive, reset the dash cam: Method A (PHOTO Button): Hold the PHOTO button for 15 seconds until the camera restarts. Select "Forget This Network" in phone settings, then reconnect with password 12345678. Method B (RESET Hole): Some models have a pinhole reset button. Check your user manual for its exact location. 7. Need Further Help?
