Good OEM upgrade for a built-in mirror dash cam

I bought this dash cam for my car after encountering too many accidents on the highway lately — I needed a reliable way to keep a record of the road. I've used Mangoal in another vehicle before and have always been impressed with the camera quality and how seamlessly they blend into the factory plastic housing on the windshield. Installation was straightforward using the included tools and wiring.

So far, no complaints. This model actually feels like an upgrade from the previous one I owned. The recording quality seems more stable — earlier I dealt with some jittery footage, especially at night. I suspect that improvement comes from this version tapping into the mirror's auto-dimming power supply instead of requiring a separate OBD port connection. The mirror's functionality remains unaffected, which is nice.

The package includes a 64GB Lexar SD card, which holds roughly 2–3 days of footage at 1080p. I don't record in higher resolutions since I don't find it necessary, but it does sharpen the image if you're willing to trade off recording time — something worth keeping in mind.

Works like a charm

I initially ordered the wrong variant (got the UX version instead of the NX), but the merchant kindly refunded my original order. The replacement arrived quickly, and installation was pretty straightforward.
Mine came with the orange trim removal pliers, though I didn’t know that upfront — I ended up buying a set separately. It would’ve been helpful if the listing mentioned they’re included.Great purchase — works like a charm.

Seamless OEM Look

I recently installed this dash cam in my 2020 Lexus UX. Rather than relying on sticky tape or suction cups, it integrates by replacing the plastic trim behind the rearview mirror, fitting perfectly into the existing mounting points. The wiring is tucked discreetly into the headliner, leaving nothing exposed or dangling.
The installation process went surprisingly smoothly. After using the included trim pry tool to remove the mirror cover, I connected the camera to the factory mirror connector, snapped everything back into place, and was finished. The entire job took less than 15 minutes — no professional assistance required.
Build quality feels robust, and video clarity is outstanding. The front camera captures crisp 4K footage during the day, while nighttime recording maintains excellent detail in both highlights and shadows. The included 64GB microSD card stores approximately 2-3 days of 1080p footage before overwriting, and the WiFi app allows for direct downloads to your phone.

Great value

Perfect dash camera for my Lexus. Nowadays you have to have a camera when out driving. It connects with your cell phone. It was easy to set up and I don’t know much about cameras.

Great OEM-style design that fits discreetly behind the rearview mirror

The dash cam excels in offering a factory-installed look, maintaining the Lexus UX’s premium aesthetic while avoiding the bulky appearance of generic dash cams. The durability and ease of installation make it a practical choice for Lexus owners.
However, some drawbacks should be considered. The 64GB memory card, while a good starting point, fills up quickly when recording in 4K, making a larger card upgrade essential for frequent drivers. Overall, the dash cam offers a robust mix of performance, aesthetics, and convenience, making it a strong recommendation for Lexus UX owners.
