4K dash cam for 2024 Highlander

The plug is compatible with my Toyota Grand Highlander. Routing the rear camera wire was tricky—it had to go behind the airbag on the front pillar. I managed to fish it through using a leader wire in the top corner behind the airbag, without disturbing the molding clips. The recording quality is good; I even captured sparks coming off a wide load from about 300 feet away.

Discrete front/rear dash cam for newer Highlanders.

I installed this in my 2024 XLE. The camera mounts cleverly behind the rearview mirror. Following their video instructions, installation was surprisingly easy. Once it's in place, you download the app and customize the settings to your preference.

It comes with a 128GB SD card, which holds a good amount of footage. Video quality is solid, especially from the front camera. It performs well and offers a nice wide-angle view of both front and rear. Through the app, I can replay recordings and save them to my computer.

Good replacement option

I'm waiting on a friend to help me install it, but the build quality seems really good. He mentioned it should work perfectly and be fairly simple to set up. I'll update with more details once everything is up and running, though I expect it will be exactly what I'm looking for.

Seamless OEM-Style Dash Cam

This dash cam fits perfectly behind the rearview mirror of my Grand Highlander. The 4K video quality is sharp and clear. Installation took less than 30 minutes. The included 64GB card is a great bonus. Considering the OEM-style appearance and features, the price is very reasonable.

Clean OEM Look with Solid Video Quality

As an everyday car owner and actual user, I’d give this hidden dashcam a four-star rating overall. What I’m most satisfied with is its appearance and compatibility. It has a clean, original factory-style design and becomes nearly invisible once installed behind the rearview mirror, which really preserves the interior aesthetics of the car. That’s a huge plus for me—it looks like a built-in feature, completely different from those suction-cup dashcams with messy wires hanging everywhere.

The image quality is solid. The front camera records in sharp 4K during the day, clearly capturing license plates and road conditions, while the 1080P rear camera works well as a supplementary view. It performs reliably whether I'm just commuting or going on long highway trips. Nighttime footage is above average—not exceptionally bright, but perfectly acceptable for regular use.

One downside, though, is the app. The interface and operation feel a bit basic, and it might take first-time users a little while to figure out how everything works. It’s not terrible, but it doesn’t impress either.

Stealth fit, clear capture, easy daily use

Daytime video is sharp, and night HDR performs decently. That said, the rear 1080p unit is only average in low light, and true 4K detail ultimately depends on bitrate and sensor quality. Installation is straightforward using the trim-matched bracket and the included 128GB card. Just be sure to route the rear lead along the headliner and A-pillars, keeping it clear of the curtain airbags.

Overall, it's a clean, stealthy upgrade if you're looking for an integrated fit and simple daily use.
